FREYA and EOSC: Persistent Identifiers in Research Disciplines Workshop

The FREYA project is organising an online workshop on the uses, opportunities and challenges of persistent identifiers (PIDs) across research disciplines, with a particular focus on projects active in the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and other European initiatives. The centrality of PIDs in enabling FAIR data, in the development of value-adding applications and as a foundation of Open Science are undoubted. Nonetheless there are many differences in practice and needs across disciplines and our workshop aims to bring the different disciplinary stakeholders together.

The workshop will be an opportunity to learn about FREYA's work in developing the PID infrastructure, and for the disciplinary EOSC projects to share their experiences and thinking about PIDs.

Workshop participation is by invitation only, and focused on the EOSC disciplinary projects who will be presenting their ideas, practices or implementations related to PIDs. The outcomes of this workshop will be shared more widely with the broader community.

If you are interested to participate in this workshop, but haven't been contacted by the FREYA project, please let us know via info[at]project-freya.eu.
